As the official sports betting partners of the Knicks and Rangers, Caesars Sportsbook does a lot of creative work with MSG Network. Most recently for the 2022-2023 season, I was responsible for writing and co-creative directing a set of TV bumpers starring JB Smoove as Caesar and Rangers legend Henrik Lundqvist that we filmed in their Knicks and Rangers locker rooms.
My favorite, which plays off Knicks TV commentator Walt Frasier’s classic quotable with the line, “While your team is swishing and dishing, you could be betting and getting,” is above. And yes, as a life-long Knicks fan, being able to film with JB in the Knicks locker room and see ads I wrote pop up during games (and have Mike Breen crack jokes about them with Clyde after they pop up) is amazing.
