I had been working on my new book—Do Remember!—where we highlight some of the most groundbreaking and innovative mixtape DJs like Ron G and Doggtime, both who were known for their impeccable blends. It inspired me to start playing around with blends myself.

So I had an idea—what if I took Biggie lyrics and put them over beatboxes from the songs that Max Bent and I had made? So I found a couple choice Biggie acapellas online, paired them up with the beatboxes, and boom—Beatbox Biggie was born.
