Dan Isenberg, Creative Director and Writer
A few things about me:
1. I’m an award-winning creative director with a copywriting background who specializes in sports, music, and entertainment marketing. My success has come from my consistent ability to develop big ideas for brands that drive business based on cultural and consumer insights. I've led projects and written for Mastercard, Budweiser, BMW, JBL, Topps, DICK'S Sporting Goods, Bank of America, Caesars Sportsbook, and so many more. And yes, I'm the guy who paired Trojan Brand Condoms with Lil Dicky.
2. I’m a published author and hip-hop journalist. My new book ‘Do Remember! The Golden Era of NYC Hip-Hop Mixtapes’ is out now via Rizzoli. And my hip-hop and sports-themed children’s chapter book ‘My Name Is Spit: The Dunk Dance’ is also available now. In addition, I’ve written features for Complex, Pitchfork, NahRight, Def Jam/Universal, and Pigeons & Planes, mostly focused on legendary and underground hip-hop artists and releases.
3. I’m a GRAMMY-nominated rap artist who has performed live everywhere from Madison Square Garden to The Greek Theatre. I’m featured rapping on two Matisyahu albums, and my solo songs have been heard on Hot 97, Shade 45, and more. In addition, my last three projects were included on Bandcamp’s monthly Best Hip-Hop list.
4. I’m an adjunct professor at NYU, teaching a grad school marketing course as part of the NYU School of Professional Studies Real World program in partnership with brands like Ticketmaster and Rizzoli.
Down to connect anytime, let’s make it happen.
Peace and love,
Dan
